About 50 workers from the founding plant Metakom-SLZ in Pleven will be forced to go into paid leave because of the expected drastic decrease of the production, said the Executive Director Peter Naydenov. He stated that this is nearly 40% of the staff which probably will be released in the spring.
According to Naydenov the main customers of the Pleven-based plant have suspended their activities, as only from KamAZ the losses for the enterprise will be more than BGN 1.5 million per year. "We do not expect any improvement and we do not see any way out of this situation, especially for machine building plants" said Naydenov.
