Joint venture starts production of electric buses in Breznik

Chino-Bulgarian joint venture plans to start production of electric buses. The plant will be located in Breznik and partners in the new company will be the largest manufacturer of rechargeable batteries in the world Build Your Dreams (BYD) and Varna-based Bulmineral.
The joint venture will be formed officially on December 11, confirmed the Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency Borislav Stefanov. According to Economy Minister Delian Dobrev, the investment is expected to amount to EUR 135 million and provide 150 new jobs.
Bulgarian partner Bulmineral deals with the supply of raw materials and equipment in the field of energy. Owners of the company with a 50% are Commercial and the registered in the Marshall Islands Energetic Mineral International, in which the sole shareholder is the Russian citizen Alexander Usachev.
Commercial is the sole property of the Stara Zagora-based machine-building plant Metallic.
