Montana-based shoe manufacturer reduces its staff

One of the biggest employers in Montana (North-western Bulgaria) - shoe manufacturer Trimona plans to reduce its staff. The company has not operated for a month’s time, now. Its employees are on paid or unpaid leave.
An application for layoff of 100 employees in the middle of December was filed. In the end of last year 145 people worked in the factory, eleven less as capered to 2010.
Trimona is one of the big employers in Monatana, which has more than 50 employees. The company has not retarded pay and does not owe money for previous periods to its employees.
The major shareholder (79%) in Trimona is a public company to the name of Favorit Hold.
