Construction of a high-tech park Sofia Tech Park starts soon

Sofia Tech Park, a high-tech park in the Bulgarian capital whose construction is due to start shortly, is expected to become operational by the end of 2015.
The first stage of the project will get EUR 50 million ($62.95 million) in financing under the EU-funded Competitiveness operational programme. A figure for the project`s total estimated cost has not been mentioned.
The park will cover an area of 270,000 square metres. A company that will run the project, Sofia Tech Park, has been set up with a capital of BGN 3.0 million ($1.93 million/1.53 million euro).
