Bulgaria will launch a gas pipeline between Dobrich and Silistra

Bulgaria will launch in September the construction of a 12 million euro gas pipeline connecting the cities of Dobrich and Silistra, in the country`s northeast.
The project contractor has already been selected and is pending approval by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development which is providing financing for the initiative, Kiril Temelkov, CEO of local gas transmission system operator Bulgartransgaz said last week.
The deal with the project contractor should be signed next month.
The pipeline is expected to be put into operation next year, Temelkov said.
