LUKOIL invests 1,5 mln USD in Neftochim Burgas

Russia`s LUKoil is expected to invest one and a half billion US dollars in the construction of a new installation in Bulgaria. Lukoil Neftochim Bourgas and Italy`s Technip Company signed a contract for the construction of heavy waste management facility.
The deal, worth 910 million euros, was signed by LUKoil CEO Sergey Andronov and Marco Vila, executive director of the Italian company. The installation will be the largest hydro-cracking facility in East Europe. The first phase of the project is worth over 1.5 billion dollars.
Attracting good investors, especially on the high-tech sector, is a priority of the Bulgarian government, Finance Minister Simeon Djankov said. This is the largest investment in the contemporary history of Bulgaria, Economy Minister Traycho Traykov said.
"The realization of the project will be fully supported by the Bulgarian government," he added.
Vladimir Nekrasov, First Vice President of LUKoil praised Bulgaria over investment climate improvement.
