Bulgaria`s anti-trust regulator said it fined local meat producer Mekom some BGN 330,560 for distributing a product that imitates that of a competitor. The Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) decided that the name and packaging design of a type of salami produced by Mekom resembles closely that of a competing product on the market, CPC said in a statement.
Mekom, whose production capacities are located in the northeastern town of Silistra, on the Danube river, went public in March 2008. Its stock last traded on the Sofia Bourse on Wednesday, closing 8.01% higher at BGN 0.58 in a volume of 1,000 shares
