Septemvri - Dobrinishte narrow-gauge line will be given to German investor through concession, said the Executive Director of Holding Bulgarian State Railways engineer Pencho Popov. Even the attraction travels of the narrow-gauge line are the first activity of the company to make profit this year, this route is perhaps the most losing of all railways.
Due to great interest in the attraction value of the narrow-gauge line, the German investor is ready to take it, with keeping its transport function for the residents of the region and strengthening its role in attracting more Western tourists. The idea is tourists to travel with old-fashioned trains, while locals to use the usual locomotives and wagons.
Popov confirmed that negotiations are very advanced.
