Bulgarian-Greek textile company Bulfanco JSC (Kardjali) was given to a prosecutor after an inspection of the General Labour Inspectorate. Last week, the company was checked up by the National Revenue Agency and 20 statements for violations were drawn up.
The Labour Minister Mladenov assigned the National Institute for Conciliation and Arbitration to deal with the protests at the factory.
Since the beginning of February, about 150 workers have been effectively striking in Bulfanco for unpaid wages. They have not received their salaries since September and vouchers for food since January 2009. In addition, workers` collective agreement ended in October 2009
