The late-middle age Aterenski Bridge is situated above the Armira river, 7 km southwestern direction from the Ladja area, Ivailovgrad (East Rhodope Mountain). It is declared an archeological monument of culture of local significance.
The nowadays bridge is dated to 16th century but the specialists consider that an ancient Roman road leading to the White Sea once existed here, and later the connection with the fortified town-fortress Lyutitsa passed the district. A part of the bridge is ruined and this makes it not quite popular among the tourists as a detached attraction but combined with the surrounding cultural-historical attractions it could be a very pleasant place to visit.
