Three stone ritual breads - round loaves were found in the archaeological excavations during the Starosel - 2009 expedition in 30 meters depth Chetinyova mound in the village of Starosel, where the largest Thracian temple in the Balkan Peninsula was built. That is what Dr. Ivan Hristov - Deputy Director of the National History Museum said.

These are the gifts of mother goddess known as Themis. It is known that in Ancient Greece and Thrace in the temples of this goddess ritual breads are served. Ancient Thracians were cut off three ritual bread with diameter of 34 centimeters from a specific stone, which are put in a fireplace. This is the ritual of burning, which is another cult of the goddess Hestia.

"The more we approach the place where was built the dome of the Thracian temple which was destroyed in antiquity, we find how was synchronized the temple as a model stone architecture. So they have constructed and embankment itself, " Hristov said. In his words the stratigraphy shows very well different periods and levels of filling of this temple. He explained that the mound is built as in ancient Egypt - level by level, meter per meter, as it had been worked synchronously.

In the upper layer, which is just below the gifts is found a Thracian ceramics, which is characteristic for the period 4.5 BC. Prof. Valeria Fol is committed to finding funds for radiocarbon analysis of samples taken from the coals.
