21st International Olympiad of Informatics in Plovdiv

Plovdiv: The 12 Bulgarian participants in the 21st International Olympiad in Informatics won 8 medals. Bulgaria participated with three teams, one of which consisted entirely of Plovdiv students (from "Akademik Kiril Popov" High school of Mathematics) .
309 students from 83 countries from 5 continents took part in the Olympiad in city of Plovdiv. The winner this year, with 743 points out of 800 was the 14-year-old Genadii Karatskevich from Belarus - he has been the winner for four years in a row.
Medalists for Bulgaria:
- silver: Rumen Hristov, Momchil Tomov, Stefan Avramov, Momchil Ivanov, Anton Anastasov, Ivan Georgiev and Mihail Kovachev
- bronze: Yasen Trifonov
The next edition of the Olympiad will be hosted by the Waterloo University in Ontario, Canada.
