A 52-year-old man from the southern city of Stara Zagora poured gasoline on his girlfriend and set her on fire. The incident, triggered by a domestic dispute, happened Saturday. The 50-year-old woman, who shared the same residence as the perpetrator, is in the city`s hospital in critical condition. The man managed to escape, but was apprehended late Saturday evening in the woods in Stara Zagora`s outskirts. He is held behind bars for 24 hours, pending investigation and court trial.
