Treasure hunters in the region of Vidin have been limited by the activities of policemen but continue inflicting serious harm, manager of the town’s history museum Fionera Filipova said as quoted by Radio Focus. The problem has been unresolved for the past 10 years. Vidin Regional Court on occasions had to examine as many as 40 cases of treasure hunting per year, Filipova said. Hunters are looking mainly for coins and smaller artifacts but the use of bulldozers inflicts serious harm.
