Street lights in the coastal resort of Sunny Beach stopped functioning in December 2008 but will be probably lit for a few days, Sega daily reported. The reason for the lack of street lightning is the decision of Sunny Beach hotel owners to stop paying infrastructure taxes.

It is possible for the lights to start functioning again during the visit of reporters from Denmark. Their visit will determine the number of tourists from the country to spend their vacation in the resort this summer.

Lights will be available only in the central part of the resort due to the lack of financial resources. The reporters will then continue their trip to Greek, Turkish and Spanish resorts in order to make a comparison.
