It is snowing almost everywhere in Bulgaria, including in the districts of Sofia, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Smolyan, Vidin and others. Average rainfall of between 30 and 40 liters per a square meter has been predicted. The snow cover will be between 15 and 30 cm on the average.
It is raining in Eastern Bulgaria, along the Black Sea coast, and in Southeastern Bulgaria. On Friday strong northeastern wind will blow in Northeastern Bulgaria. No power cuts have been reported so far.
In Sofia the snow hampers the traffic. No restrictions have been imposed. There are traffic jams at some crossroads.
All vehicles in the region of Smolyan have to put chains on and trucks should not have trailers and semi-trailers when traveling through the passes of Rozhen, Prevala, Pamporovo and Pechinsko (Madan - Zlatograd).
The same restriction is valid for Kardzhali – Ardino road. The road to Gyueshevo border checkpoint has been closed until it is cleared of the snow.
