In January 2009 the construction of US military base in Novo Selo will begin, deputy chairman of the parliamentary defence committee Yanko Yankov announced yesterday. In January the fence of the camp for 2500 American soldiers will be built.

The military base will cost 61,15 million USD. The main facilities include 23 barracks, administrative buildings, which should be built up in the next two years. The construction of the base will provide about 2000 jobs.
