197 workers from the chemical firm "Asenova krepost" in Asenovgrad will be laid off, while the same number of employees will go out on an unpaid vacation beginning January 1.
The notification letters have already been deposited in the Labor bureau and the municipality, radio Plovdiv announced.

Because of the financial crisis and the lack of markets the firm closes permanently 200 work places. A lot of Asenovgrad residents enter the labor market because of shrinkage of the production in KCM (non-ferrous metal production firm).

It is expected that after New Year a lot of mall firms will optimize their staff - mayor Hristo Grudev comments.
