The Commission for competition protection imposed two property sanctions, respectively of 300 000 and 100 000 levs to "Toplofikatsiya Ruse" AD. The research of the Commission has found that due to its monopolistic position, "Toplofikatsiya Ruse" AD has unlawfully imposed a requirement to consumers, for the conclusion of a contract for joining the electric network.

Aside from that, in another contract for deposit, the company has imposed disloyal conditions for consumers, against their interests, aiming the evasion of the risk of a possible denial of payment of the energy used. Such requirements totally ignore the interests of the clients of the company and are in a total contradiction of the mandatory General conditions for the sale of heating energy, the Commission comments.

The cases have been started in connection with signals from citizens and after the plea of "Roni thermic services" EOOD.
