Lay offs of workers in Troyan companies have already begun. This was announced by the mayor of the town Minko Akimov. In the electric motor factory "Elma" AD workers have gone on a forced vacation, but it is expected that from 2000 they will be reduced to 400. The company "Mashstroy" has already laid off 400 people. It is also expected that a firm, working with a world renowned Swedish company, will also decrease its production to a minimum.
