The Austrian company EVN shows interest in the construction of the hydroenergy cascade "Gorna Arda" in Bulgaria. EVN wants to become a strategic investor in the project, which is currently frozen.

The Austrian company has send a letter to the Bulgarian minister of economy and energy about its investment intentions, in which it points our that EVN could participate both alone and in joint cooperation with other companies from the field, informed the executive director of EVN-Bulgaria Stefan Shishkovitz.

EVN owns the electric distribution companies in Southeast Bulgaria and heating company Toplofikazia – Plovdiv.
