About 200 million Euro at the moment are blocked in unsold apartments and real estate in the recreational complex Sunny beach and the surrounding area. Nearly 8000 apartments are waiting for their buyers, but in the last months the market of vacation properties in the region from Aheloi to Elenite has decreased significantly.

The economic crisis in the USA and Western Europe forced many Englishmen, Germans and Scandinavians, who intended to invest in real estate in Bulgaria to withdraw from our market. Russian clients at the moment are also wary and are not in a hurry to buy.

Prices in the Sunny beach complex are decreasing considerably. This is true mostly for apartments situated in unattractive locations. Bankruptcies of construction firms, which have relied mostly on investment in vacation homes through bank loans, are expected.

Real estate agencies will also be severely affected by the adverse market situation. At the moment, their number in the Burgas region only exceeds 100. Only the most powerful agencies with solid positions and resources, however, will survive in the market.
