Retro Aircraft at Chernogorovo Airbase

After an over 6-year break Bulgaria will resume its aircraft construction business. Instead of building combat and training aircraft, the country used to manufacture in the Soviet era, Bulgaria will build operating retro-aircraft that have a historical value. Albatros F-2 set a beginning October 16, 96 years ago, when he Bulgarian army bombarded Edirne during the Balkan wars.
Sunday, the aircraft will be shown at the Chernogorovo airbase before the three Bulgaria cabinet members and reps of the state administration. The plane was made by the Aviorelics Association that invested over 120.000 levs into the project. The idea is to make replicas of Bleriot 21 and Bulgaria-made DAR and LAZ that will be exhibited at the National Museum of History in Sofia
