Bulgarian and American soldiers in simulated military operation in Novo Selo

American and Bulgarian soldiers, watched by Bulgaria`s President, Georgi Parvanov, blasted a storehouse full of terrorists` munitions. The infantry joined attack took place on Novo Selo US-Bulgaria training ground yesterday. A total of 50 people from both armies took part in a joint simulated operation in a town devastated by war. Commanding General of the US Army in Europe, General Carter Ham, monitored the exercise.
Some of the other VIP guests were the US Deputy Chief of Mission to Bulgaria, Alexander Karagiannis, the head of the General Staff of the Bulgarian Armed Forces, General Zlatan Stoykov the Chief Commander of the Bulgarian Land Forces, General Ivan Dobrev and the Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Defence Committee, Yanko Yankov.
The yesterday`s exercise was part of the Bulgarian-American exercise Bulgarian Panther 2008 that ends in a couple of days, 900 Americans and 100 Bulgarian took part in it.
