A tulip show will be organized during the spring in the Botanic garden in Balchik, Radio Varna announces. The idea of the botanists is to gather about 80 sorts of the flower. The blossoming of the earliest sorts starts in the end of February, while the latest blossom until June.

At the moment the workers are sowing the spring flowers. 50 thousand flowers are to be sowed, as 30 thousand of them will be tulips. During the next days the collection of cactuses will be taken down and the plants in the garden will be put away for the winter.

The new greenhouse, which will accommodate the precious collection of cactuses and succulents of the University botanic garden is to be installed in November and will cost around 300 thousand levs.

Only during this year the number of new species has increased by 250, the manager of the garden Ina Mancheva announced.

A sector, in which visitors can see a part of the precious collection numbering 1400 of species, will be constructed in the new glass building.
