A new green house will be mounted in the beginning of November in the famous botanical garden in the Black Sea town of Balchik, according to the park`s manager Ina Mincheva.

The greenhouse`s cost is estimated at BGN 300,000 and it will be located on an area of 800 square meters. The greenhouse is made of modern materials with better isolation than regular glass.

The new facility is going to house about 1,400 rare plants including unique cactuses and palms. The large cactuses only are over 1,000 in number and consist of 30 to 40 species. Until now, the tropical plants spent the winters crammed in a small 120 square meter room with gardeners cutting the tops of the tallest ones, so that they would not touch the ceiling...
