Construction of Olympic sports complex in Burgas starts soon

Burgas will have an Olympic sports complex by 2010. A special procedure has been opened and the construction of the first three underground car parks is to start soon.
The complex is to be completed by 2010 on the place of the swimming pool in the park of Burgas Slaveykov neighbourhood. This was announced by the city chief architect Veselina Ilieva at Investments and Projects in Burgas Municipality round table.
The project will comprise an open-air and an indoor swimming pools as well as a hotel block and halls for preparation and rehabilitation of Olympic preparation teams. The design process is to take about nine months. The construction is to be through a public-private partnership and concession. The Olympic centre will be situated on a site of 23,279 sq. m.
