The Bulgarian Health Minister, Doctor Evgenyi Zhelev has offered first aid to two individuals, who were injured in a serious traffic accident that has occurred on the road between the towns of Muglizh and Gurkovo Sunday.

One of the victims is a 31-year-old man, who has been transported to the hospital in Kazanlak. The second injured person is 26-years-old who was unconscious at the scene and has been transported to the hospital in Stara Zagora also with head trauma and a fractured skull.

Ironically, under the Minister`s initiative, mobile teams of the Bulgarian "Emergency Medical Assistance" services were deployed in August alongside Bulgarian roads together with the traffic police patrols in order to be able to quickly render medical help to those injured during traffic accidents.

The summer months, when most people travel on vacation, are the deadliest in Bulgaria with the death toll constantly rising.
