ABB, the global engineering company, said it will start the construction of a $20 mln plant for low-voltage products in the Bulgarian city of Rakovski. The plant, the group`s third in Bulgaria, should be operational in `09. The plant site will have an area of 2.0 ha. The project will create around 500 jobs. ABB has production operations in local towns Petrich and Sevlievo.
