‘The whole thing, said in the French television`s film is a lie.` - That was announced by the gravedigger Hristo Tsonchev from Medven village. Tsonchev exactly is the man, who guided the French journalists around and told them about the disabled children`s home. His story is the base of the documentary ‘Little phantoms of Bulgaria`, which evoked new scandal in Europe, connected with the Bulgarian abandoned children.

The most shocking part of the documentary is exactly the gravedigger`s story about disappeared children and found buried bones.

‘I was drunk, they made me talk` Tsonchev admitted. ‘Everything in this film is made up, I haven`t told them anything. They haven`t given me money, nothing` the gravedigger was categorical.

According to the social home`s director Radostina Petrova, the home`s nurse the children in the home receive only the best medical care and in the cases of death, it was caused by the specific diseases of the children and they were always buried with honours.
