Regulated plots in the balneological resort Vurshets have seen an almost twofold annual price increase. They were offered at 21 euro a sq m at the beginning of 2007 and currently fetch as much as 40 a sq m.

Currently regulated plots in the village sell at 19 to 63 euro a sq m. Average prices over the past six months have increased by 23 per cent. The cheapest offer is for a 269 sq m plot in Zanozhene neighbourhood, which costs 5 000 euro. The lowest price a sq m comes to is 20 leva and applies to a 3 300 sq m plot. The most expensive bid is for a 1 700 sq m plot - 138 000 euro.

Houses in resort village fetch between 12 000 and 290 000 euro.

Velingrad, another balneological holiday village, has recorded a 10 per cent annual increase in regulated plots prices. The cheapest plot (a stretch of land in the Kamenitsa area) is asking 20 000 euro and is 475 sq m in area, or 178 euro a sq m. The most expensive offer is a 1126 sq m plot amounting to 490 000 euro - or 435 euro a sq m. The property unit is in the village centre and has a building permit for the construction of an apartment complex with a gross actual area of 3343 sq m.

House prices in Velingrad averaged 450 euro a sq m in January 2007. Currently,  they are fetching 648 euro a sq m.

Houses in Devin, another balneological resort in the Rhodopi Mountains, sell at between 22 000 and 162 200 euro.

Sapareva Banya has also seen a real estate price increase due to pending construction projects on a large ski resort in nearby Panichishte, according to brokers.
House prices range between 25 000 and 1.5 million euro.

Average asking prices for plots in Hissarya, one of Bulgaria`s largest balneological resorts, have largely stalled over the last year, recording only a slight hike.

Currently, there are 62 houses on offer - the cheapest one (total built-up area of 100 sq m and a 600 sq m garden) is asking 15 000 euro. The highest bid comes to 310 000 euro - with a gross actual area of 204 sq m, a 236 sq m shed and a 1875 sq m garden.

The cheapest plot in Hissarya is asking 10.6 euro a sq m and the most expensive one sells at 51 euro a sq m.

There are only five houses and about ten plots on sale in the Pavel Banya resort. The cheapest house is on offer at 14 000 euro and the dearest is 70 000 euro.
Plots prices hover in the 15 340-237 600 euro range.
