Technical assistance for the project “Joint transport plan with information platform for the development and improvement of the transport infrastructure in the Euroregion Rousse-Guirgui” has been approved, informed ruseinfo.net. The project value is 450 000 EUR.

The project aims at improving the traffic organization on the territory of Euroregion Rousse-Giurgiu through the preparation of a Joint transport plan and Joint transport strategy for optimization of the traffic with definition of the necessary activities for increasing the traffic capacity of the respective roads.

Another aim of the project is optimization of the traffic coordination and reduction of the critical heavy traffic sections.

This will be achieved through the preparation of a Joint information platform containing passports of the road transport infrastructure with information on the condition and the parameters of the traffic and a registration system on the passing vehicles (by hour, day, month and year), possibility for monthly reporting on the traffic and Internet-accessible data to ease those passing through this Euroregion and the connected to Corridor N9 road sections.
