An investor from Constanta will do boat business in the Bulgarian seaside town of Balchik, the Romanian Cotidianul newspaper writes.
The Romanian manages Romned Port Operator Constanta company, which manages the beaches in Mamaia, Constanta and Eforie. Last week in a tender the company won the right to manage other sectors of the beaches in Mamaia, Costinesti and Eforie. Recently the businessman has been leased three hectares of the beach in the northeastern town of Balchik.
According to him the lease prices in Bulgaria and Romania are similar. Things change when it comes to the local authorities and their desire to back tourism development projects.
In principle, the businessman who has been leasing beaches for ten years now is granted one-two meters of the seawater, which he uses as a water bar.
