Turkish company Arkomat opens its second Bulgarian factory in Karlovo

Turkish company Arkomat opens its second factory in Bulgaria in a month’s time. The location is Karlovo.
The first facility of the company started work sixteen years ago in Kazanlak. It produces cars cable systems for Volkswagen.
Total investment in new facilities is assessed to EUR 4 million. Half of it is scheduled for buildings, the other for equipment.
The plant will be over in a month’s time. 600-700 employees will be hired there. The first 250 have already been employed, as they are being trained in Kazanluk. Till the end of the year their number will plummet to 350 and 450. In that way personnel of the Turkish company in Bulgaria will go beyond 1700 next year. The first factory employs 1000 people.
Arkomat is the first company for automobile cables that opened its facility back in 1999. It is a representative of the Turkish Arkomat, which has a direct contract with Volkswagen. The first factory works with materials of the customer. Produced cable installations for Volkswagen are with materials of Delphi Automotivе Systems.
Delphi is one of the largest producers of auto parts worldwide-it has revenues of more than USD 16 billion, more than 160 thousand employees and 126 factories.
