Top attraction, one-of-a-kind “global village” to be built in Straldja, Bulgaria

The global village, which will accommodate around 20 000 people, will be built near the village Alexandrovo in Straldja municipality, southestern Bulgaria. The project “Diva Rosa (Wild Rose) Country Estate” will be completed in 10 years.
The unique settlement, which will be the first of its kind in Europe, has around 6000 residential properties: villas, apartments and estates. Mediterranean architecture is dominant with a focus on light colors, large terraces and flat garden roofs. There will be an amphitheater, a cinema, a mall and business center and a multi-profile hospital with a surgical ward in the downtown area. The project also involves a church and a school. The two golf courses and multitude of sports facilities are a key part of the project, it emerged at a press conference organized by Sharon Smith, CEO of Solas Nua Limited, and Mitko Andonov, mayor of Straldja municipality. They presented the general plan of Diva Rosa Country Estate.
The investment will exceed EUR 500 million, of which 11 million will be paid to the municipality and 75 million to the state. Foreign investments have been secured. Construction will commence in June next year. Over 2000 people will be involved in the construction of real estate properties, facilities and various other buildings. Local and international companies can take part. Families from all over the world will come to live here following completion of the project.
