Lessoplast JSC, the wood mill of Troyan, reported drop of sales income for 2008 to BGN 47.7 million. The main reason is the drop of production. Expenses also fell by 11% to BGN 6 million. Profit of the plant decreased by 56% to BGN 669,000. Company’s management expects neither another drop of sales in 2009 nor rise of production. Owner of Lessoplast is Austrian Welde with 77% of the capital.

Elma JSC manufacturer of motors and generators for domestic and industrial usage located in Troyan stopped work at the end of 2008 due to decreased sales and lack of finances. From the beginning of 2009, it resumed production. For the nine months of 2008, the company reported drop of consolidated sales incomes to BGN 8.4 million year on year.
