The north-Bulgarian town of Kaynardzha in the Silistra region announced it would develop a number of projects for the introduction of renewable energy, including a street light system powered by solar energy. From September 1, the dialling codes of all 118 towns and villages in Silistra Region were changed. The change affects the Region`s seven municipalities: Silistra , Doulovo , Toutrakan , Glavnitsa , Sitovo , Kaynardzha and Alfatar and the mayoralties with them. The only exception is the region`s main town, Silistra , which keeps its present dialling code (086).
