Weather conditions in mountains are not suitable for skiing , press centre of the Mountain Rescue Service with the Bulgarian Red Cross said. The Mountain Rescue Service warns that visibility is reduced due to the snow cover which worsens conditions for skiing. It is snowing in mountain resorts of Bansko and Pamporovo and on Vitosha and Stara Planina mountains. Weather in mountains is overcast and calm. Measured temperatures vary from -7 and -5 degrees Celsius.

Weather conditions in the high parts of the mountains-over 2000 m, are not suitable for tourism, Mountain Rescue Service at Bulgarian Red Cross anounced. It is not snowing. Students, who have chosen to celebrate Stident`s Day (December 8) in the mountain, should be careful. The Mountain Rescue Service has received no signals for injured or lost in the mountains overnight.

Hotelkeepers managed to ensure high occupancy rate for the forthcoming ski season . About 5% more foreign fans of winter amusements have made reservations in Bulgarian ski resorts , announced the president of Bulgarian Tourist Chamber Tsvetan Tonchev in an interview with "Focus" agency. The weather conditions are suitable for mountain tourism, Mountain Rescue Service at Bulgarian Red Cross informed. Later today a break in the weather is expected. The Mountain Rescue Service recommends that tourists choose shorter routes, on low grounds so that they are able to get back home early in the afternoon.

There is moderate threat of avalanches in mountains, Mountain Rescue Service press office announced. Rescuer on duty said there will be no spontaneous avalanches but they can be raised. Mountain Rescue Service recommends people not to practice winter sports in places where there is threat of avalanches.Temperature at Musala peak (Rila) is -16 °C and it is cloudy. Temperature in Bulgarian winter resort Borovets is 4°C, at Chern vrah (Vitosha) - between -12°C and -6 °C.

The level of an avalanche threat in the mountains decreases, Mountain Rescue Service told Focus News Agency. The snow layer in the mountains is deep and the Service recommends avoiding long trips and walking along marked routes only. It is sunny in the mountains. The temperatures have dipped below zero. It is 8 below zero in Borovets winter resort and 7 below zero in Bansko resort . There are excellent skiing conditions.
