A 20-year-old man drowned in Iskar artificial lake in Bulgaria on Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred while a group of youngsters were swimming in the lake. After a short time all but one managed to reach the shore. The group signaled Civil Defense services over the disappearance of their friend. Few hours later the rescue teams pulled the dead body out of the water. The reasons for the man`s death have not been discovered yet.
Bulgarian gendarmes are still guarding a Roma district in the town of Ihtiman after a mass fight broke between two clans in the early hours of Sunday. A total of four people have been injured after the families threw stones, bottles and tiles against one another. Most of those involved in the fight were armed with axes and wooden sticks. The Roma citizens have even threatened to break the patrols of the police officers, who responded to the signal over the incident. The scandal was brought under control about an hour after it broke up but police representatives are still watching the whole area.
