The share of golf tourism is only 0.1% p.a. of the total supply in Bulgaria despite the big potential for development. As of now there are only four golf complexes meeting the standards of the European Golf Association - Sveta Sofia near Ravno pole village , Black Sea Rama and Lighthouse near Balchik , and Pirin Golf in Razlog . Business: Salu-D co investing in Pchelin area spa hotel

Construction company Salu-D said it is building a spa complex in the area of the mineral springs near the village of Pchelin, in the Sofia region. The 4,000 sq m complex wil feature a hotel component and two apartment buildings. The investor will first complete the spa hotel before starting work on the residential buildings which will have 16 apartments in total. The location is close to the towns of Kostenets and Dolna Bania and ski resort Borovets.

Golf Club Ibar, an investor in the Golf Club Ibar complex in the Bulgarian town of Dolna Banya , has received a first class investment certificate for its second golf complex in the country.
