16 mln leva costs 1km of Sofia ring road

1 kilometer of the southern section of Sofia’s ring road costs BGN 16 million, said Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev at the road launching ceremony. Stanishev added this is the most expensive road section in Bulgaria.
He recalled that the construction of the section started in November 2006. The whole project is worth BGN 54 million. The fund was allotted by the national budget.
Sofia Mayor Boyko Borisov said he would rely on the government for the financing of other sections of the ring road as well.
