Kadin bridge was built over the river of Struma, near the village of Nevestino , which is located some 14 km away from the town of Kystendil . The bridge is one of the greatest monuments on the Balkan Peninsula which has survived over the centuries of the Turkish yoke. According to an ancient inscription on a plate, built inside the bridge, it was constructed sometime between 1469 and 1470 by Ishak Pasha.
