Many members, followers and supporters of the International Macedonian Revolutionary Organization (IMRO) from all over the world gathered close to the southwestern Bulgarian village of Jilentsi, municipality of Kyustendil, on Friday to celebrate the 116th anniversary of the organization`s establishment

IMRO Chairman Krasimir Karakachanov noted the organization was not struggling for power and benefits, but for a cause – the freedom and rights of the Bulgarians in Macedonia. He added the wire fence was fixed symbolically to show that in Macedonia, which was supposed to be a free state, being a Bulgarian was still a crime. >>
