Water Power Station (WPS) Yahinovo was closed by order of the Minister of Environment and Water Dzhevdet Chakarov. The reason for resorting to the extreme measure is the drastic drop of the water in Dyakovo Dam, which has already reached the critical point of 17 million cubics. WPS Yahinovo is managed by the Blagoevgrad based company Hidroenergostroy LTD of Georgi Dinkov, with whom many talks to stop work were been held by the municipal administration. However, he categorically refused to do so, explained the mayor of Dupnitsa Atanas Yanev.
