Japanese company Aqua Farm will build a geothermal power plant in Sapareva Banya , in southwestern Bulgaria. Aqua Farm and the municipality of Sapareva Banya signed on Tuesday an agreement to set up a 66/34 joint venture named Aqua-Germanea to build the geothermal power plant. Four hospitals were not granted licenses to operate by the Ministry of Health (MH) and will close down, was announced yesterday. The MH has issued licenses to 297 out of total of 312 hospitals that applied for re-registration. The documents of another 11 hospitals are still being filled in. Four small hospitals in the towns of Vidin , Sliven , Mursalevo and Kiten were refused to be issued licenses.

Customs officers at Gyueshevo border checkpoint seized 2500 packages of smuggled cigarettes on Friday night at 9.30pm, the Ministry of Interior Regional Directorate- Kysutendil press center announced. Border police have made a close examination of a Skania truck with Macedonian registration, which tried to enter Bulgaria. They found the packages hidden into a fabric holes, place for instruments behind the shades and under the bad. The 47-year-old driver, Macedonian, has been drawn up a statement.
