The faces of three Bulgarian presidents are to be hewn into rocks near the town of Simitli, Mayor Apostol Apostolov announced Thursday. The first head of state elected in a democratic vote Zhelyu Zhelev will be among those, whose images are to be perpetuated in the framework of the new initiative. Petar Stoyanov, who ruled Bulgaria in the period 1997-2002 and the current President Georgi Parvanov are the other two officials included in the initiative.
