Well-known Bulgarian folk singer Lyubimka Bisserova comes from a family of old-time rebels against the five centuries of Ottoman domination in Bulgaria. This might explain the energy and enthusiasm she has been putting in recent years into transforming her native village of Pirin . Lyubimka is married to a guy from Manchester and lives there for most of the time. Back in Bulgaria she has organized an international folk music festival.
