Film Festival for Mountains, Extreme Sports and Adventures in Bansko

The Bulgarian News Agency, BTA, was distinguished as a media partner of the International Film Festival for Mountains, Extreme Sports and Adventures in Bulgaria held in Bansko, Southwestern Bulgaria, in November 27-30, 2008. This was the eighth edition of the festival.

The Bulgarian National Television and the National Radio too received awards. The official award-giving ceremony took place on Wednesday in Sofia, before the opening of a mini-panorama of the winning films which are to be shown on Wednesday and Thursday at Sofia`s Odeon Cinema.

The screenings start at 6 p.m. and admittance is free. The festival`s Grand Prize winner, "Pustelniks in the Mountains" of Polish director Miroslaw Dembinski, and "Portrait of a Serial Jumper" of German director Matthias Thoennissen which won the awards for a film shot in extreme conditions, will be shown on Thursday.
