Culture: Georgi Kitov Unearths Two Thracian Tombs Village of Staro selo >> Friday, 2008-07-04 02:43 Source: StandartNews Two Thracian tombs dating back from the 2nd century AD have been discovered near Staro Selo, Sliven region. Dr. Georgi Kitov, leader of the TEMP expedition broke the news. "In one of the tombs, belonging to a Thracian aristocrat, we discovered a human skeleton and a bronze artifact," the famous archaeologist told The Standart. He expects that they will come across other finds in the tomb which is built of hewn stone blocks. The other tomb, made of stones and bricks, hasn`t been explored yet.
