Excavation works near the village of Krushare in the Sliven region are ongoing, Darik Radio reported. Several days ago, archaeologists discovered there the grave of a noble Thracian woman. A small box was also discovered and will undergo restoration works. Police is monitoring the area, in order to prevent looting attempts. All artifacts discovered at the site near Kroushare will be exhibited in the Sliven museum of history.

Bulgarian archeologists have found a unique golden wreath in an unnamed mound near the South-East village of Krushare , Sliven District . This has been announced Sunday by the archeologist Diana Dimitrova, who ws wife of the late great Bulgarian archeologist, Georgi Kitov. Until that moment, numerous objects have been found in the mound - a bronze candlestick, a glass rhyton, a huge bronze amphora, a golden bracelet, other golden objects, and glass vessels with some kind of liquid in them...

The team of archaeologists, led by Georgi Kitov unearthed an ancient golden breastplate near the village of Krushare , southeastern Bulgaria . It was discovered at the excavation works on Yakimova mound. Beside the skeleton of the Thracian warrior, the archaeologists also found an iron sword and a spear. Stanka Zlateva will participate the traditional fighting competition on 24 May, the day when Bulgaria celebrates its alphabet and culture. The competitions will be in Krushare, the birth place of the athlete. For her exceptional performance in the European championships she will be awarded the traditional check from Corporate Trade Bank. Nikola Stanchev, Bulgaria’s first Olympic Champion, will take part in the fights in the village of Ruen, Burgas region, on May 25.
